Turkey Chili
Ingredients
- 2 lbs turkey, ground
- 2 cans (16 ounce) tomatoes
- 31 ounces red kidney beans, drained
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 12 cup onion, chopped,
- 14 cup dry red wine
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes, dried
- 34 teaspoon basil, dried
- 34 teaspoon oregano, dried, crushed
- 12 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 teaspoon cinnamon, ground, (optional)
- 1 garlic clove, minced,
- 12 teaspoon red pepper, ground
- 1 bay leaf
Directions
In a 4-quart Dutch oven cook the turkey till no longer pink.Drain off.

Stir in undrained tomatoes, drained kidney beans, tomato sauce,.
onion, wine, chili powder, parsley flakes, basil, oregano, black pepper,.
cinnamon, garlic, red pepper, and bay leaf.
Bring to a boiling; reduce heat.
Simmer, covered, about 2 hours; stir.
