Lentils and Sausage
Ingredients
- 1 lb lentils, rinsed and cleaned
- 1 lb any link sausage, cut into pieces
- 2 celery ribs, diced,
- 2 carrots, diced,
- 1 onion, chopped,
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 bay leaf
- salt
- pepper
- thyme, dried
- 8 cups water
- 8 teaspoons chicken bouillon powder
Directions
Preheat oven to 375. Brown Sausage in dutch oven.Add vegetables and cook until onion is translucent and a little browned, about 10 minutes.
Add water, scraping bottom of pan to deglaze.
Add bouillion and other seasonings to taste.
Bake in oven for about 45 minutes to 1 hour or until lentils are soft.
